Ben Foster will conduct the Will Gregory Moog Ensemble and BBC National Orchestra of Wales for a one off concert on Friday 26th November at BBC Hoddinott Hall, Cardiff.
Fusing electronic and orchestral music with Archimedes’ principles, join the Will Gregory Moog Ensemble, Helen Arney and the BBC National Orchestra of Wales for a scintillating night of music.
Half of electronic music sensation Goldfrapp, keyboard-player and composer Will Gregory is one of the UK’s leading advocates of using synthesizers with orchestral instruments to create new sounds, and reinvent old ones! The ten-piece ensemble of analogue synthesizers also features Graham Fitkin and Eddie Parker plus members of Portishead and Florence and the Machine.
With music based on principles by Archimedes, arguably one of the world’s greatest ever polymaths, and interspersed with his most celebrated theories, this concert is the perfect evening for those who enjoy listening to the most iconic synthesiser, and hearing about one of the world’s greatest mathematicians!
