The Simon Verhoeven directed ‘Alter Weißer Mann’ scored by Segun Akinola will premiere in German cinemas Thursday 31st October.
‘Heinz Hellmich, a family man in his mid-fifties, is determined to ascend the next step on the career ladder at his company. The challenge lies in his embodiment of the “old white man” stereotype – politically incorrect, mentally rigid, and unyielding. In an effort to present himself in a more “woke” light, Heinz decides to host a casual dinner at his home, inviting his boss and several female colleagues. However, what starts as an attempt to perfect his image quickly unravels. The politically correct facades of both his family and the guests begin to crumble as they navigate the complexities of today’s political correctness. Amidst their efforts, they inadvertently stumble from one faux pas to another, and chaos ensues unabated.’
The soundtrack album will also be released on the 31st featuring Segun’s original score for the film.
