The trailer has just been released for ‘Luther: the Fallen Sun’ which is due for release in select cinemas 24th February ahead of a Netflix release on the 10th March. Lorne Balfe has composed the original score for the film, which is directed by Jamie Payne and written by Neil Cross. It is a continuation of the detective television series of the same name and Idris Elba reprises his role as Detective John Luther.
‘A serial killer terrorizes London while disgraced detective John Luther sits behind bars. Haunted by his failure to capture the cyber psychopath who now taunts him, Luther decides to break out of prison to finish the job by any means necessary.’
