The new season of ‘Red Eye’ scored by Ian Arber premieres New Year’s Day, 9pm on ITV and ITVX. The six-part thriller series sees Jing Lusi reprise her role as DS Hana Li and Martin Compston joins the cast as Clay Brody, Head of US Embassy Security.
‘In London, at the US Embassy, celebrations are underway for the newly appointed US ambassador. The party is soon ground to a halt when the embassy receives a threatening call; a British plane will be blown up if anyone exits the party. The building is put under lockdown, the party soon turns sour and Director General Madeline Delaney’s trip aboard a private government jet becomes far from plain sailing. A series of murders occur, and DS Hana Li is straight on the case, alongside Clay Brody, the head of security at the embassy, played by Line of Duty’s Martin Compston. Brody is an ex-colleague of Li and did not leave her with a good impression. Li has to focus on the task at hand, and not at her dismay with working alongside someone she has no trust, nor respect for.
As the killing spree erupts in the embassy, Li and Brody must join forces and decode who is at the centre of the crime – before more embassy hostages and plane passengers are sacrificed.’
