The final season of ‘The Crown’ with a score by Martin Phipps will premiere 16th November on Netflix. Starring Imelda Staunton, Jonathan Pryce, Dominic West, Elizabeth Debicki, Lesley Manville, Olivia Williams, Meg Bellamy and Rufus Kampa, Season 6 is set to cover events from 1997 through to 2005, broadly spanning the period of time where Tony Blair was Prime Minister.
The official synopsis for the series reads:
‘A relationship blossoms between Princess Diana and Dodi Fayed before a fateful car journey has devastating consequences.
Prince William tries to integrate back into life at Eton in the wake of his mother’s death as the monarchy has to ride the wave of public opinion. As she reaches her Golden Jubilee, the Queen reflects on the future of the monarchy with the marriage of Charles and Camilla and the beginnings of a new Royal fairytale in William and Kate.’
The series will be split into two parts with the first 4 episodes available from November 16th and the final 6 episodes available from December 14th.
