Luke Richards is a UK/US nationality composer based in London. His recent work includes scoring the thriller series Six Four, based on the bestselling novel by Hideo Yokoyama and directed by BAFTA nominated director Ben A. Williams. He has also co-scored, alongside David Buckley, two Harlan Coben novel adaptations for Netflix. The upcoming Fool Me Once, starring Adeel Akhtar, Michelle Keegan and Joanna Lumley and 2021’s Stay Close, starring Cush Jumbo, James Nesbitt and Eddie Izzard.
Luke has worked with Oscar winning composer Rachel Portman, providing additional arrangements and programming for the Disney film, Godmothered, and with Steve Jablonsky, writing additional music for both Transfomers: The Last Knight, starring Mark Wahlberg and Anthony Hopkins, and Skyscraper. Luke also contributed additional arrangements for John Powell and David Buckley’s score for Paul Greengrass’s Jason Bourne.
His film work includes writing the score for The Gettysburg Address starring Matthew Broderick and David Strathairn, and eHero, starring Sean Astin. His music for Remembering the Fallen won Best Original Score at the Los Angeles Movie Awards.
Luke’s break into the industry began when he moved to Los Angeles aged 21 to work for composer Harry Gregson-Williams. Subsequently he was based out of Hans Zimmer’s Santa Monica studio, Remote Control Productions, where he worked for composer David Buckley on high profile film and television projects, including The Good Wife and Call of Duty: Ghosts.
His music has been recorded at Abbey Road Studios, The Eastwood Scoring Stage at Warner Bros, The Newman Scoring Stage at 20th Century Fox and the Synchron Stage in Vienna.
