Matt has scored a number of network series for ITV and the BBC including I Saw You, Rescue Me, Safe as Houses and Number 13. He has recently completed the exciting new children’s adventure series, Spirit Warriors, for CBBC. Most recently he was commissioned to score Peter Pan: The World Arena Tour, a huge musical and theatrical touring extravaganza based on the JM Barrie story.

He composed a wonderfully rich and textured score for The Four Musketeers, (D’Artagnan et les Trois Mousquetaires), directed by Pierre Aknine and starring Emmanuelle Béart. The soundtrack was released by Movie Score Media to critical acclaim. Matt then went onto score the action thriller Storm Force, (Windkracht 10), directed by Hans Herbots. The film was chosen to open the Ghent International Film Festival and went onto top many a European box office.

Matt studied trumpet and piano at the London College of Music and then went on to work with world-renowned film orchestrator Christopher Palmer. This led to him working with the acclaimed Scottish composer, Craig Armstrong. They have now worked together for over 15 years on various projects, many of which have won awards including a Golden Globe, 2 Baftas and 2 Ivor Novellos. Matt has also orchestrated and conducted exclusively for the superstar Indian composer, and recent Bafta, Golden Globe and two-time Oscar winning, A.R. Rahman. Furthermore he regularly works with many of the most recognized names in film composition today – Hans Zimmer, James Newton Howard, Clint Mansell, Randy Edelman, John Murphy, Tuomas Kantelinen, Ramin Djawadi, Christian Henson and Henry Jackman.

Matt continues to be asked to work alongside some of the most exciting and high profile names in movie score. His real love and talent lies in composition. He is proving to be an extremely gifted and powerful writer of film music as well as music for a wide variety of TV projects. Drawing on his years of experience, built up whilst working with most of the Hollywood ‘great-and-good’, he has become one of the most upcoming media composers in the UK.
